Which is the Best Two Line Cordless Phone?
The answer will depend on the key features that are required. All options are DECT 6.0 phones with similar cordless phone range, talk time and overall performance. Interference from WiFi networks and other electronic devices is not an issue. The main differences are detailed in the table below.

Panasonic 2 Line Cordless Phones
In most segments Panasonic cordless phones are the ones to beat and Panasonic's two line cordless phones are no different. The top spot alternates between the KX-TG9390T corded cordless phones and KX9381T Bluetooth cordless phone.
It's a tough call for small business owners who want both the convenience of Bluetooth connectivity and the ability to use a corded phone during a power outage. Unfortunately both sets of features are yet to be combined on the one 2 line cordless phone.
The KX-TG9470 is Panasonic's latest two line cordless phone. It's a corded cordless phone but unlike the KX-TG9390T it has no backup capability and so can't be used during a power outage. It's MS Outlook integration is an interesting feature, but we are not convinced that it's all that compelling. We were also surprised to find that while it supports call blocking and Night Mode it doesn't employ Panasonic's latest DECT 6.0 Plus technology.
Uniden 2 Line Cordless Phones
Uniden's DECT4000 cordless phones are almost identical except for the differences identified above. The company has astutely identified a market for two line cordless phones without answering machines. Its DECT4066A has no competition in this niche and is keenly sought out by consumers who have switched across to voicemail services and see no point in paying for bits and pieces they are not going to use i.e. answering machines.
The DECT4096 competes head-to-head with Panasonic's KX-TG9390T series. It's a little cheaper and more expandable, but the Panasonic cordless phone gets better reviews and sells better.
The DECT4086 has the toughest job of all as its most direct competitor is the Panasonic KX-TG9381T, but it's not a Bluetooth cordless phone. Uniden was late getting into Bluetooth technology and its costing it sales especially in this niche.
Summary
Both Panasonic and Uniden make excellent two line cordless phones. It's unlikely that any of the above options will disappoint, but if pushed to make a call we would nominate the Panasonic KX-TG9390T series as the pick of the crop. We like the security of a corded cordless phone and the comfort of knowing that we can make or receive calls even if the power is out. The exception would be in situations where more than six handsets are required in which case a Uniden cordless phone will come out on top every time.
