Range

With few if any exceptions the range of a DECT 6.0 cordless phone has more to do with where it is located than the brand of phone. DECT 6.0 implementations are not subject to proprietary variations. Solid walls and obstructions will reduce the range of a cordless phone system, but typically the DECT 1.9 GHz frequency has a greater range than 5.8 GHz alternatives.

Cost

Surprisingly the KXTG1032S is NOT the most expensive DECT phone. In fact it is a very competitively priced phone - for example.

Summary

On paper there is little to differentiate DECT cordless phones. They share similar features and limitations. However, some phones are obviously manufactured to higher standards than others. They are manufactured with better quality components e.g. speakers, microphones and battery chargers, giving better clarity and longer talk time between charges. Panasonic cordless telephones are in this category.
