There are naturally nitty gritty differences between the products, but there is no doubt in our mind that the Panasonic KX-TG6702B
and the Uniden TRU9465.
are the only 2 line cordless phones in the race.
By way of full disclosure, I must admit a bias towards the Panasonic 2 line cordless option. We have always had good experiences with Panasonic phones. Our polling of users also confirmed that they were unanimous in giving the Panasonic full marks for voice clarity. There is also a red light on the tip of the aerial. The ringer can be turned off and it will silently signal incoming calls. It may not excite everyone, but I love having the option of working without hearing the phone.
We suspect that the Uniden 5.8 cordless phone actually has more features than the Panasonic 2 line cordless. It's also a very attractive, well designed piece of equipment and does everything that we would ever want from a 2 line cordless phone.
We hoped that there would be a big price difference between the options that would help us make a decision between them. That wasn't the case.
In the final analysis we were about to toss a coin when I made the call in favor of the Panasonic. It was the red light on the tip of the aerial that did it.
