Cordless Phone Range

DECT can achieve a range of between 300 and 450 meters in an open field. In a more practical situation where the base station is located within a building, a range of 50-60 meters is an achievable expectation. To get beyond that you may need to look at a 900 MHz option. Multi Line Telephones

As a result some brands of 5.8 GHz phones are excellent and others aren't.
