The "fit" can also have an impact on how well a Bluetooth head phone works. For example the Aliph Jawbone headset requires a Voice Activity Sensor (VAS) to make contact with the face so it can work as it should. It's clear from reading hundreds of Bluetooth headset reviews that many people don't or can't hook up their headsets correctly. It accounts for why they complain about noise cancellation, muffled voices ... while others rate the same device highly.

Other factors that go into the mix when selecting the best Bluetooth headset include: range, talk time, stand by time and of course cost. Some reviewers also comment on the complexity or otherwise of using a headset. That has to be scraping the barrel.
In the final analysis it comes down to style, comfort and price. To eliminate the dodgy end of the market it's advisable to limit your short list to the top brands i.e. Aliph, Jabra, BlueAnt, Nokia, Motorola and Plantronics.
Personally I use both a Plantronics Voyager 510 and an Aliph Jawbone 2, with a preference for the Plantronics.
